Police continue checks

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Police in the State capital continued intensive checking of vehicles and crowded public and private places for the second day on Saturday following an alert that terrorists were planning strikes similar to the recent twin blasts. Police sources said they received inputs that four Bangladesh nationals, who sneaked into the State recently, were planning to trigger explosions at crowded places before Dasara and Ramzan festivals. Having stepped up security at religious places, the police extensively checked shopping complexes, eateries selling Haleem, and railway and bus stations.
