Tributes: The former judge of the Supreme Court V.R. Krishna Iyer addressing a meeting got up to mark the 33rd death anniversary of V.K. Krishna Menon, in the city on Saturday. KOCHI: The nature of the involvement of V.K. Krishna Menon in the freedom struggle was different as he fought the empire from inside Britain, said the former judge of the Supreme Court V.R. Krishna Iyer here on Saturday. He was speaking at a homage meeting got up to mark Krishna Menon’s 33rd death anniversary. It was organised jointly by the Krishna Menon Memorial Society and the V.K. Krishna Menon Educational Initiative at Mr. Iyer’s residence. The nation was yet to produce another person of international status to outshine the legacy left by Krishna Menon, Mr. Iyer said. P.J. Joseph, president of Toc-H Public School; K. Aravindakshan, former Principal of Maharaja’s College, and Madhu Nair, president of Rotary Club of Thripunithura, spoke.
