TRAC to play key role in scheme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Trivandrum Residents Apex Council (TRAC) has announced plans to participate in the ‘People’ employment generation scheme launched by the district panchayat and the Kudumbasree poverty alleviation mission.

As many as 20 residents’ associations representing different areas in the district will participate in the first phase of the programme, designed to provide marketing support for a range of products manufactured by Kudumbasree units.

A pressnote quoting TRAC president Amaravila Ramakrishnan Nair and secretary K.T. Roy said the residents’ associations had been equipped to sell the products.
