New Collector assumes charge

PUDUKOTTAI: D. Uthirakkumaran assumed charge as District Collector here on Sunday. He was, till recently Joint Secretary to Social Welfare and Noon Meal Scheme, Chennai.

Mr. Uthirakkumaran succeeds S.J. Chiru, who has been transferred and posted as Collector of Kanyakumari district.
