Projects launched

BANGALORE: Many eye care-related projects were launched at Dr. Modi Eye Hospital here on Sunday to raise awareness on eye diseases and to extend eye-related services to the people. A mobile information centre was launched on the occasion. The van equipped with video screen, written material on eye diseases and screening equipment will travel in and around Bangalore city to spread awareness on early detection and treatment of eye diseases, Dr. Amarnath Modi of the hospital said. An eye bank and cornea storage centre was also inaugurated. The hospital was planning to have tele-teaching programmes for its doctors through video-conferencing, Dr. Modi said. – Staff Reporter
