94 cadets from Tiruchi group took part in contests at Udumalpet

TIRUCHI: A total of 94 NCC cadets representing the Tiruchi Group took part in the Inter Group Competitions which began at Udumalpet in Coimbatore district on October 7. The cadets hail from various schools and colleges coming under the Tiruchi NCC Group Headquarters here. They will be accompanied by two officers, three Associate NCC Officers and four Permanent Instructional Staff. Other than Tiruchi Group, select cadets from Madras A, B, Coimbatore, Pondicherry and Madurai NCC Groups also took part in the competitions, which will conclude on October 17.
Republic Day parade
The cadets selected at the competitions will represent the Tamil Nadu NCC Directorate at the Republic Day Camp in New Delhi. A brief send off function was organised for the cadets at the Officers Mess here on Saturday. Colonel M.N. Nath, Commanding Officer of 2 (TN) Battalion NCC Tiruchi and other senior officials were present.
