3229 booths arranged for administering polio drops

Boats engaged to take the vaccine to the inaccessible villages


KHAMMAM: Some 2.97 lakh children were covered under the mop up round of pulse polio in the district today. Administering the polio drop to a child in the BC Hospital at Sambhani Nagar in the town, the Zilla Parishad Chairperson Gonela Vijaya Lakshmi called upon people to make use of the mop up round of pulse polio to keep the children healthy. She said 3229 booths were arranged for administering the polio drops in the district. Launches and boats were engaged to take the vaccine to the inaccessible villages on Godavari banks.

The Municipal chairperson Sameena Afroze took part in the programme.
