Rajahmundry: A palm leaf archive of 200-years old “Sri Ramastava Ratnakaram” came to light in Peddapuram two days ago and it was handed over to Mahidhara Rama Sastry, who is heir to that ‘property’. ArchiveThe editor of 75-year old ‘Praja Patrika’ Devi Sudarshan came to know about the palm leaves through Nemani Satyanarayana Sarma who preserved the archive from last five decades in his house. He informed the matter to District Palm Leaf Archives Library survey in charge and Sarva Siksha Abhiyan APC D.N. Murthy and others. Telugu scriptAll the dignitaries connected to the palm leaves archive met in Peddapuram where Nemani Satyanarayana Sarma explained the importance of the volume. About 115 palm leaves are there in this volume and they were written in Sanskrit with Telugu script. SlokasThese slokas were written by Sri Surya Soori, great great grand father of Mahidhara Rama Sastry during Peddapuram King Vatsavai’s time.
