Two killed in accident

NEW DELHI: Two young men were killed when a jeep hit their motorcycle at Dwarka here on Sunday. The erring driver fled after abandoning the vehicle on the spot.

According to the police, the accident took place around 3 p.m. when the jeep hit the motorcycle. While the injured were rushed to Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Hospital, the driver vanished from the scene. The victims were declared brought dead at the hospital. They were later identified as Mithilesh (24), a resident of Pandav Nagar, and Manish Jha (32), a resident of Palam. The police have registered a case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving and launched a hunt for the driver. The vehicle has been impounded.
