Proposal opposed
Staff Reporter
BANGALORE: Kannada Chalavali Vatal Paksha president Vatal Nagaraj staged a demonstration in front of the Raj Bhavan on Sunday opposing any proposal to dissolve the Legislative Assembly and impose President’s rule.
He said he and several like-minded MLAs were opposed to mid-term elections in the State. Other MLAs who did not favour elections should leave their respective parties and form a new outfit, he appealed.
If the legislators went back to the people without completing their five-year term, it would send wrong signals, he said.
Moreover, one more election would mean waste of public money, he added.
