Hurriyat celebrates Musharraf’s win

SRINAGAR: Activists of the moderate faction of the Hurriyat Conference, headed by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, on Sunday took out a procession and burst crackers to celebrate the victory of General Pervez Musharraf in the Pakistan presidential election.

Normal life in Lal Chowk came to a grinding halt for some time due to the celebrations. The sounds of crackers made many think there were explosions and they ran helter-skelter.
