Two migrants die during dharna

Jammu: Two migrants from Jammu sitting on a hunger strike for the past two months demanding ration supplies at par with Kashmiri migrants have died in Reasi district, official sources said on Tuesday.

While locals alleged that the deaths occurred due to the indifference of the authorities towards them, officials in Joytipuram area of the district claimed the deaths were natural.

Basant Ram and Kaku Devi died at dharna site in front of Salal guest house on Monday evening.

Over 500 migrants from Mahore and Arnas areas in Jammu took the two bodies in a rally and raised anti-government slogans .
