36,000 posts to be filled

BHUBANESWAR: In a major development, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced that his government would fill 36,000 posts that were lying vacant in various departments. The Chief Minister had already issued instructions to start the process for making the appointments.

The posts that would be filled through fresh appointments included doctors, teachers, engineers and different posts in the police and forest departments. The government said that the filling of vacant posts would give a boost to proper implementation of various welfare programmes.
