BANGALORE: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday ruled out any possibility of re-alignment with the Janata Dal (Secular). But the party said that it would consider the possibility of forming a government if like-minded MLAs from other parties, including the Janata Dal (S), offered their support to it. MLAs offer support?“If the like-minded MLAs in other parties, who share the view that the BJP has been cheated, come forward to support us in the interest of the State’s development, we may examine the option of forming the Government,” BJP spokesperson S. Suresh Kumar told The Hindu. But he made it clear that the party’s main focus was on the elections. Meanwhile, a senior BJP functionary said several prominent JD (S) MLAs were in touch with the BJP leaders. There was a possibility of these leaders expressing their moral support to the BJP in the coming days in the wake of the failure by the Janata Dal (S) to honour its commitment on transferring power to the BJP, he said.
