KIABD land: Court notice to Sindhia

BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday ordered issue of notices to the former Minister and Kanakapura MLA, P.G. R. Sindhia, in a case relating to acquisition of land. The Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) had acquired lands at K. Bisenahalli village. This acquisition had been challenged by Y. Lakshmi Reddy and Y.C. Sandeep Reddy. The petitioners had said the acquisition was illegal and it violated several provisions of the KIADB Act. They claimed that the acquisition took place when Mr. Sindhia was the Industries Minister.
The court on the last occasion directed issue of notices to Mr. Sindhia. When the matter came up, the court was told that notice to Mr. Sindhia was not served.
Justice N. Kumar ordered issue of fresh notices to Mr. Sindhia and adjourned further hearing on the case.
