KOCHI: K. Jose Cyriac, Additional Chief Secretary (Finance), Government of Kerala, has stressed the need for attitudinal changes among the public as well as the government machinery to execute public private partnerships. Tariff revision and the will to execute projects were significant. He was addressing a workshop on public private partnership, organised by Confederation of Indian Industry, in association with Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance.It was important that the private participant was treated on equal terms in a public private partnership, he said.Arvind Mayaram, Joint Secretary, Infrastructure and ADB, Ministry of Finance, said an enabling environment needed to be created for realising public private partnerships. Rohit Modi, Chief Executive, Roads, Bridges & Airports, L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Limited, said tariff revision and dispute settlement mechanism were important aspects of public-private partnerships.
