CHANDIGARH: The Bharatiya Janata Party will hold a “Haryana Bachao” (Save Haryana) rally in Rohtak on December 23 to highlight “failure” of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda Government on “all fronts”. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, former Union Minister and BJP national secretary Vijay Goel sharply criticised the “performance” of the two-and-a-half–year-old Hooda Government and alleged that people were suffering as the regime had failed to honour its promises. Haryana BJP chief Atam Parkash Manchanda was present at the conference. He ridiculed the “Bijli Rally” addressed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi at Jharli on Sunday and asked what was the point of holding a rally when the power supply situation in the State was dismal. He also questioned the laying of foundation stone of a super thermal power plant at Jharli and said that it was uncertain when these power plants would start delivering results. He said there was lawlessness and the State Government had failed to provide jobs to the youth. Replying to a question, he said the BJP was prepared for elections any time. He ruled out the party entering into any coalition in Haryana or seeking support of other parties.
