VISAKHAPATNAM: V. Kishore Chandra Deo, AICC general secretary, Congress Working Committee member and Parvathipuram MP, has said that elections are avoidable.
“We don’t wish there should be an election. But we should be ready for it,” he said on arrival to a rousing reception here on Tuesday, after being appointed to the important posts in the party. His observations come in the wake of the current political situation centred around the nuclear deal with the United States.
He said elections were a part of democracy. But when the Government was going ahead with development and progress, one should not have elections, he said.
