“You cannot escape cartoonists, can you?” Mr. Nehru asked the famous American cartoonist, Mr. Rube Goldberg, in Tokyo on October 8. Mr. Goldberg, who had been invited to a reception held by the Japanese Foreign Minister, Mr. Fujiyama, had been watching Mr. Nehru closely from a distance for some time before he was introduced to the Indian Premier. The two then talked for a few minutes and Mr. Nehru told Mr. Goldberg, a Pulitzer Prize winner, that Indian cartoonists had a complaint against their Premier. He had not that long nose which cartoonists drew.
