Ban on mining

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has banned all types of mining—sand, clay, and granite—being done in the Muriyad area of Mukundapuram taluk in Thrissur district. The order in this regard was issued here today by the Revenue Department. The order was issued by the Revenue Principal Secretary following talks held in the presence of Revenue Minister K.P. Rajendran.
