NEW DELHI: Some ordinary putting this season has brought Jeev Milkha Singh down from the high he enjoyed last year. “I was more and more result oriented this season and did not stay focussed on the process,” is the candid admission from the man himself. Jeev, here to play in the $500,000 Hero Honda Indian Open starting on Thursday at the Delhi Golf Club course, is currently going through an average run in the European Tour. From 38 starts, Jeev has earned 660,990 euros to reach the 38th position on the Order of Merit. In comparison, Jeev made 1,173,177 euros last season. Jeev is still searching for the form that saw him win at least one title each on the European, Japanese and the Asian Tours last season. Talking about his return to the Indian Open, Jeev said, “I could not come for the National Open here for the last four or five years, I can’t remember correctly. But I want to win this one because it is important for me.” — Special Correspondent
