IAF’s Platinum Jubilee

COIMBATORE: An Air Force Ball was held here on Saturday to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee of the Indian Air Force. According to a release, the Ball was rolled by Air Marshal Y.R. Rane, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Air Command, and Gita Rane. A huge amalgamation of serving and retired officers attended the Ball. “Glimpses of the Indian Air Force”, a short film on the achievements of the IAF was the highlight of the evening.

There were also entertainment programmes performed by artistes who had come from various parts of India.

Air Commodore D. Mukundan, Commandant, Air Force Administrative College, Air Commodore P.K. Srivastava, Air Officer Commanding, 5 Base Repair Depot, and Group Captain B.K. Dash, Station Commander, 43 Wing Air Force, were present.
