Triple crown for Ramana

VISAKHAPATNAM: Ch. S.S.V. Ramana picked up three titles, in the men, junior boys and sub-junior boys events in the district table tennis championships.

He prevailed C. Suraj in the men’s final and fought hard against K.S.V. Gopalakrishna and C.V. Srikar in the junior boys and sub-junior boys’ finals.

The results (all singles):

Men’s final: Ch.S.S.V. Ramana bt C. Suraj 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, 11-9. Semifinals: Suraj bt K.S.V. Gopalakrishna 11-4, 11-7, 10-12, 5-11, 11-5; Ramana w/o G.V.S. Rama Rao. Quarterfinals: Suraj bt Dhanaraj 11-4, 11-5, 11-6; Gopalakrishna bt D. Suren 11-2, 12-10, 14-12; Rama Rao bt C.V. Srikar 12-14, 11-7, 5-11, 12-10, 12-10; Ramana bt D. Kesava Rao 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.
