Special arrangements made at the temple for ‘aksharabhyasam’

ADILABAD: Special arrangements for the celebration of Dasara Navaratri at Basar’s Gnana Saraswati temple between October 12 and 21 have been made.

Large number of pilgrims are expected to throng the temple, especially on Saraswathi puja day.

Assistant Commissioner, Endowments and Basar temple Executive Officer Badrinath and Basar sarpanch Ramesh told reporters that temple would be open for darshanam between 4 a.m. and 8 p.m. during the nine-day festival.

Besides better management for queues, special arrangements for aksharabhyasam will be done, he said.

Cultural programmes like recital of Bhagwatam would also be organised, he added.
