BELLARY: Fire Services personnel rescued a cow that had fallen into a pit at Satyanarayanpet here on Wednesday. Over 100 people had gathered in the compound of the house of Bangali Ramanath to witness the rescue operation. When preliminary efforts by Mr. Ramanath’s family and his neighbours to rescue the cow failed, they decided to seek the assistance of the Fire Services. — Staff Correspondent
