ECoR to operate puja specials

To clear extra rush during Durga Puja

Passengers asked to make use of the facility


VISAKHAPATNAM: East Coast Railway (ECoR) will operate a weekly super fast special train to clear the extra rush of passengers during Durga Puja.

Train no. 0898 will leave Bhubaneswar on Fridays between October 12 and November 23 and train no. 0897 will leave Pondicherry on Saturdays between October 13 and November 24.

Train no. 0898 will leave Bhubaneswar at 11.45 a.m. on Friday and reach Visakhapatnam the same evening at 7.10 p.m. It will leave after a 20-minute halt and reach Pondicherry at 1.35 p.m. on Saturday.

In the return direction, train no. 0897 will leave Pondicherry at 4.10 p.m. on Saturday and reach Visakhapatnam at 10.25 a.m. on Sunday. It will leave after a 20-minute halt and reach Bhubaneswar at 5.30 p.m. the same day.

These trains will have halts at Khurda Road, Brahmapur, Palasa, Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram, Rajahmundry, Vijayawada junction, Ongole, Gudur, Chennai Central and Villupuram in both directions. Passengers have been asked to make use of Puja special trains.
