CHANDIGARH: Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, who is currently touring the US, on Wednesday hailed the decision of the Union Government to raise the support price of wheat, paddy, gram and cereals. In a statement sent here from the US, Mr. Hooda has thanked Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi for increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP). He asserted that the UPA Government was committed to welfare of farmers and agriculture workers. Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan has also welcomed the Centre’s decision to enhance the MSP.
