St. Joseph’s CE triumphs

Coimbatore: St. Joseph’s College of Engineering (Chennai) scored a 29-6, 29-10 win over M.A.M College of Engineering (Tiruchi) to emerge the Champion Team winner in the Anna University inter-zone ball badminton tournament for women here on Tuesday.

The results: Champion team: Alagappa Chettiar CE&T (Karaikudi) bt National EC (Kovilpatti) 29-22, 29-9; St. Joseph’s EC (Chennai) bt Sona EC (Salem) 2-10, 29-17; MAM CE (Tiruchi) bt Alagappa 29-15, 29-11.

Combined team: Final: Chennai bt Coimbatore 29-10, 29-6. Third place: Salem bt Madurai 29-0, 29-5.
