KOCHI: Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala, defeated Vidyodaya (Thevakkal) by 61 runs and entered the quarterfinal of the 21st Refinian Cup inter-school cricket tournament, organised by the Cochin Refineries School, at Ambalamugal on Wednesday.
P.K. Suresh, DGM Finance, BPCL Kochi Refinery, inaugurated the tournament.
The scores (First round): St Thomas School, Muvattupuzha 67 in 17.4 overs (Eldhose Joy 37, Alok four for 11) bt SN Vidyapeetam, Tripunithura 46 in 12.2 overs (Nithin Babuji three for 4).
Pre-quarterfinals: Chinmaya Vidyala, Vaduthala 127 for seven in 20 overs (Manav 27, Mehul Patel 34) bt Vidyodaya, Thevakkal 67 in 16 overs. — Principal Correspondent
