Jagadeesh, Sebastian shine

PALAKKAD: South Zone’s V.A. Jagadeesh (71) and Central’s Sebastian Antony (three for 22) shared the final day’s honours in the Jacob Trophy Kerala State senior inter-zone cricket championship opener at the Fort Ground here on Wednesday.

South, which took the first innings lead in the drawn game, meets North in the next three-dayer which begins on Friday.

The scores: Central Zone 279 & 80 for one in 22 overs vs. South 339 in 114.3 overs (Sambasiva Sharma 71, V.A. Jagadeesh 71). — Principal Correspondent
