BANGALORE: Mercurial, Upper Crust, Lady One and Swift Fire shone when the horses were exercised here on Wednesday morning (Oct. 10).

800m: Mercurial (Vivek) 56, 600/43. In fine nick. Lucky Gold Star (Appu) 1-0, 600/46.5. Easy. Fanaa (rb) 1-0.5, 600/47. Moved on the bit. Upper Crust (Ranjeet) 55, 600/43. Impressed. Faction Leader (S. Ramesh) 1-0.5, 600/48.

1000m: Alekona (rb), Surprise Package (rb) 1-16, 800/58, 600/44.5. They are in fine trim. Swift Fire (Appu), Chief’s Dream (Sapra) 1-13, 800/57, 600/45. Former moved fluently and finished four lengths ahead. Whisper Valley (Pereira) 1-16.5, 800/59.5, 600/46. Easy. Stanza Starry (Ghous), Baffled (Sapra) 1-15, 800/59, 600/46.5. Former moved better.
