VIRUDHUNAGAR: The Collector, V. Chandrasekaran, has warned Block Development Officers (BDOs) of action if they failed to implement development works within the stipulated time.
During a meeting, the Collector said that works under the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam, Indira Awaz Yojana, Sampoorna Gram Rozgar Yojna, Golden Jubilee Gram Swarozgar Yojna and rural roads under NABARD assistance, he said that BDOs should give special attention to expedite pending works.
Stating that they should be able to overcome also hurdles faced during implementation, the Collector sought weekly reports on progress made.
Mr. Chandrasekaran also instructed the Executive Engineer of Rural Development to provide advice on technical issues to all contractors by organising a meeting.
The Project Officer, District Rural Development Agency, Gladston Pushparaj, Executive Engineer, Sriram, were among those who participated in the meeting.
