Cooking gas agencies warned

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Civil Supplies C. Divakaran has said the Government will cancel the licences of cooking gas agencies found indulging in irregularities in distributing gas cylinders to domestic consumers.

Mr. Divakaran issued the warning at a meeting of the State-level Food Advisory Vigilance Committee here on Wednesday, said an official press release. The Minister said shortage of cooking gas had become a serious problem for the people.

He urged the public sector cooking gas companies to coordinate with the Civil Supplies Department in identifying their agencies indulging in irregularities.
