HYDERABAD: Consequent upon blasts in the city, nobody can claim to be safe but there are ways of securing ourselves with the availability of a plethora of modern security devices and systems. Some of the latest detectors of explosives and arms were displayed at a show organised by Godrej Secure, a Rs. 300 crore company, on Wednesday. The security system is built on such sensitive electrostatic system that anybody coming in physical contact with a person possessing a firearm or a bomb could easily be identified. Imagine what would have happened, had it been available at Gokul Chat or Lumbini Park? Perhaps, the disaster could have been averted. The company showcased another bomb detector which could beep-alert sleuths on finding anything unusual and, of course, explosives. Wide range Access control systems, laser fencings, biometrics, remote surveillance systems, road blockers, turnstiles, under-vehicle scanners, explosive and narcotic detectors, fire-safety equipment for houses, vaults and different other users formed part of the assortment of the safety gadgets. Fear and, of course, awareness shot up the market size of security systems in the country close to Rs. 2,000 crore.
