A talent time was organised at Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Vaduthala. Group discussions on shifting of journalism from primetime to tabloid, story-in-the-bag and from-the-scrap competitions were also organised. Paper collage, Just-A-Minute, mock interview, debate and fashion designing were also organised as part of the event.

’Magnum Opus,’ a cultural event of Plus One students of Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Girinagar, will be held on October 12. Documentary shows, western music, dance, literature and painting competitions will be held as part of the programme. Nearly 1,000 students representing 20 schools are expected to participate in the event.

Dibin V. Sivadas, student of Kendriya Vidyalaya 2, Naval Base, received a scholarship from the Centre for Cultural Resources and Training of the Government of India. The scholarship was for visual art painting. Dibin is the son of V. Sivadasan of the Naval Aircraft yard, Naval Base.

V. Aswin and V. Jayakrishnan of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thrissur, qualified for the final round of the quiz organised by the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre as part of the space week celebrations.
