Awareness meet

Kochi: The Lion’s Club of Cochin Crown City will organise a function to spread awareness on the need to dispose off garbage in a scientific and environment-friendly way, at St. Michael’s Parish Hall, Chembumukku on Saturday evening.

A key element of the function will be the distribution of attractive shopping bags to participants at the meeting, says N.P. Devassy, president of the club.

The club will also distribute gloves and masks to those engaged in clearing garbage. A seminar too has been organised, for which representatives of residents’ associations and others have been invited.
