Yakshagana prasangas on Saturday

BANGALORE: This weekend, fans of Yakshagaa can check out a special performance of two popular prasangas.
Anantha Padmanabha Yakshagana Mandali, Perdoor, along with guest artistes will present Airavatha and Rathnavathi Kalyana during a night-long show on Saturday at the Town Hall. While Airavatha is a mythological story, Rathnavathi Kalyana was penned by Nandalike Naranappa, popularly known as Muddana, who had written the famous Muddana – Manorameyara Sallapa.
Well known bhagavata (Yakshagana singer) Subrahmanya Dhareshwara will add colour to both the prasangas. Other artistes in the prasangas include K.P. Hegde Golgod, Thandi Sripada Bhat, Janardhana Gudigara, Vijaya Ganiga, Master Prakasha, Mohandar Shenoy, Praveen Ganiga, Mahesh Kota, Ravi Selkod and master Vishwanath. The show starts at 10.30 p.m.
