Man kills wife

RAJAPALAYAM: Muneeswari (20), who sustained head injuries when her husband, Ayyadurai (25), beat her up on Wednesday, died at the Government Hospital here on Thursday.

The woman had reprimanded her husband for his illegal affair with another woman that enraged Ayyadurai to assault her at their residence in Seithur.

Though the police arrested him, the relatives of the deceased demanded action against Ayyadurai’s brother and relatives and refused to take possession of the body. However, they dispersed after 3 hours of protest on the promise of prompt action.
