Murder convict admitted to psychiatry ward

BERHAMPUR: Dileswar Barik, who was lodged in Sundargarh jail for killing six members of his own family, was admitted to the psychiatry ward of MKCG Medical College Hospital. The assassin escaped the hangman’s noose and was serving life imprisonment. His father Rangabal Barik and four police constables accompanied him. Lodged in jail for the last four years, authorities felt that he required treatment as he had developed serious sickness syndromes.
