AIIMS doctor passes away

NEW DELHI: Dr. Ravi Saxena, Head of the Department of Anaesthesiology at the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences here, passed away on Wednesday. He was 51. Dr. Saxena was diagnosed and operated upon for cancer of the thyroid gland in February this year and was undergoing treatment. He was also fighting a court case against the Institute for denial of seniority to him. From 1999 to 2002 he headed the emergency response service at AIIMS.
