Grand welcome: Uma Bharati, founder-president of Bharatiya Janshakti Party, alights at Secunderabad railway station on a transit halt en route to Vijayawada on Thursday .
HYDERABAD: Uma Bharati, president of Bharatiya Janasakti Party, halted in the city and interacted with her party workers, en route to Vijayawada.
Ms. Bharati also discussed plans for launching the Andhra Pradesh unit of the party in Vijayawada on October 20. She later left for Vijayawada where she would be conducting special puja, aradhana and deeksha at Devi Kanaka Durga temple from October 12 to 20.
She is scheduled to address a public meeting in Vijayawada on October 20.
