New licence conditions
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government has amended the stipulations for issue of licences to dangerous and offensive trades by local self-governments. Accordingly, the traders should give an undertaking not to use banned plastic carry bags and disposable cups and show place names in English and Malayalam on their signboards. The government has directed directors of Panchayats and Urban Affairs to cancel the licences of traders who fail to follow the stipulations, an official release said. — Special Correspondent
