Vidhana Soudha to be Governor’s workplace

Bangalore: Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur will create a record of sorts when on Friday he occupies his new office in the chamber normally set apart for the Chief Minister in the Vidhana Soudha. He will be one among the very few Governors to administer the State from the headquarters of the Secretariat.

Mr. Thakur, however, has planned a fixed working schedule from his office in the Vidhana Soudha.

Mr. Thakur prefers to function from the Vidhana Soudha to have a direct feel of administration. He will have his first meeting with the top officials of the government from the Indian Administrative Services, the IPS and the IFS on Friday.
