dated October 12, 1957: Tribute to Nehru

Prime Minister Nehru has drawn the biggest attention and interest of the Japanese among all the 17 state guests who have come to Japan since the end of last war. In a dispatch on October 9, Japan’s news agency Kyodo stated: Mr. Nehru since his arrival six days ago could be said to have fulfilled the expectation of the Japanese people who had hitherto watched his actions for peace with sympathy.
