BEML blanks SAI

BANGALORE: BEML (Earth Movers) blanked Sports Authority of India (SAI) 4-0 to post its fourth victory in the Super Division football league at the Football Stadium here on Thursday. With this victory, BEML has 13 points in six matches.

Sanath struck a brace in the ninth and 51st minutes of the game, while Kalandhar scored one in between. Govinda rounded off the tally in the 78th minute.

SAI has just six points from seven games, having won just one and drawn three others.

RWF wins again

Rail Wheel Factory (RWF) maintained its winning streak with a 7-2 victory over HMT, in an ‘A’ division league encounter.

Naveen Babu (2), Satish, C. Prakash, Sugandhar, Lokesh and Bhushan got the goals for RWF, while Vikram and Chitti Babu reduced the margin towards the closing stages of the match. In the ‘C’ division league at the Malleswaram ground, Hindu Socials and Navratna played out a goalless draw. — Special Correspondent
