Kushal claws back

BANGALORE: Kushal Agarwal trailed by two frames before pulling off a stunning win over the much fancied Md. Arshad in the next three in the senior State-ranking snooker tournament at the KSBA hall here on Thursday.

Youngster Balaji Reddy too had a good day. In the senior snooker event, Balaji rallied to beat N. Rajesh 3-2 and then blanked Amit Bhushan 4-0 in the junior snooker semifinal league.

Combined City XI 175 for nine in 50 overs (L. Adarsh 89) bt Bangalore City XI 166 in 49 overs (R. Samrath 44).

Secretary’s XI 148 in 48.2 overs (Shreyas Gopal 51, S. Rahul four for 24, M. Roshan four for 35) lost to Vice President’s XI 149 for six in 40.4 overs.

Corporate chess
