Scribe thrashed for alleged blasphemy

SANGAREDDY: Police resorted to lathi-charge to disperse stone pelting groups in Narayankhed on Thursday following the assault on a scribe for his writings in a vernacular daily on the purpose of fasting.

The scribe who wrote an item on the Iftar party attended by the local legislator Suresh Shetkar allegedly misquoted the speech.
