BJP opposes leasing out Nandi Hills

BANGALORE: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has opposed the Government’s move to auction the Nandi Hills to private parties for Rs. 100 crore.

In a press release here on Thursday, the BJP city unit president B.N. Vijaykumar and spokesperson S. Prakash said the announcement of Tourism Secretary I.M. Vittalamurthy indicated that Mr. Murthy was exceeding his brief.
