Cop injured in accident

NEW DELHI: A gunman posted with a Police Control Room jeep sustained injuries when the vehicle overturned after a speeding Honda City car rammed into it at Patel Nagar here in the early hours of Thursday. The driver has been arrested.

According to the police, the accident took place around 1-30 a.m. when the Honda City car driven by a 25-year-old businessman, Sourav Agarwal, hit the PCR van that was on routine night patrol duty near Satyam Cinema.

While the driver and the officer in charge of the jeep escaped with minor injuries, the gunman, Head Constable Ashok, was injured.
