Public holiday today

Thiruvananthapuram: The State government declared Friday a holiday for government offices and educational institutions in connections with the Ramzan, an official press release said here on Thursday. – PTI

Staff Reporter adds: October 12 has been declared a public holiday for State Government offices on account of Ramazan. The Postal Department too has declared Friday as a holiday for post offices in the State. The Speed Post centres will however function. The offices of the KSEB will remain closed on Friday. Cicy Roy Mathew, Principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, said in a release that October 12 would be a holiday for all the Kendriya Vidyalayas in the city and at Kollam, Kayamkulam and Adoor. The holiday declared for October 14 for Cochin Port Trust staff has been advanced to October 12.
